Compilation and Build

The archives were compiled with the standard configuration of gcc-3.3.2.

Standard configuration for the boinc and seti build where used as provided. Both projects are compiled with the gcc options: -g -O2

To run boinc you may have to adjust your LD_LIBRARY_PATH setting:
$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib

Installation

Create a directory of your choice and unpack the boinc_4.72-i386-pc-solaris2.9 archive to it. Run boinc and attach to a project. The information you need were provided when you registered your account. After you have attached to the project stop boinc.

A directory was created within your directory:
projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu

Unpack to the directory projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu setiathome_4.18-i386-pc-solaris2.9.

The follwowing directory structure should be found on your harddrive:

boinc-installtion/:
boinc_4.72-i386-pc-solaris2.9 projects

boinc-installation/projects:
setiathome.berkeley.edu

boinc-installation/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu:
app_info.xml
setiathome_4.18-i386-pc-solaris2.9

Now run boinc again and it should try after the benchmark to download a WU.

Note: Run boinc from within the boinc-installation directory!
